Breitenbach und Töchter: handpainted collections
Graphic patterns meet romantic painting.
The Breitenbach und Töchter design studio was presented with the ‘German Brand Award – special’back in 2017. The company has been nominated again for 2019. In Hall 3.0 at Heimtextil 2019, the design studio is showing what its handpainted collections will look like next year. “The combination of originality and craftmanship lies at the heart of our creations”, says Dr. Gabriela Schütze-Leonhardt, Breitenbach und Töchter’s Chief Creative Officer.
Abstract and winterly city skylines inspired them to create trendy collections with graphic patterns in harmoniously earthy colours, but they’ll also be showcasing dreamily romantic prints, such as ‘The English Garden’, ‘Mer de fleurs’and ‘Mimi’,in contrasting colours, including winter sun yellow and duck egg blue.
“The signature of our new collections is visibly reflected in the dreamy play of the patterns”, says Schütze-Leonhardt. Subtle large-size hand drawings in black and white are stylishly modern interpretations that make a trendy contrast to vivid colour statements evoking a stroll through blooming summer landscapes. Breitenbach und Töchter capture nature in the designs for their new collections.
