With its study called “Markets of Identity”, Heimtexil 2012 wants to give an idea of the consumer scenario in the near future. “There is a lot of growth potential when it comes to designing private spaces with textiles”, commented Detlef Braun, CEO of Messe Frankfurt GmbH. He is referring to the motivation of Germans to invest in their private spaces: the demand for home textiles has been growing since the financial crisis in 2009. The spending on home textiles is higher than the one for entertainment electronics.
