Flexibility made in Finnland: Studio Kelkka loves its customers, big & small.

“It stays dark a long time in Finland and that’s why our designs are so fresh and colourful”, says Terhi Laine explaining the design signature of Studio Kelkka. Ten women got together to create this team and have been producing their designs for textiles, wall coverings and accessories with great cooperative pleasure since 2010. The group is well balanced with not only textile designers but also product designers, graphic designers, illustrators and marketing specialists working side by side. The result is a multiplicity of designs and great reliability for customers.

Inspired by nature and humor: the designs of the Studio Kelkka ladies.

The team has lots of space and flexibility and is equally pleased to welcome “big and small clients”. The work of Studio Kelkka is characterised by nature, simplicity and a large pinch of good humour. Pinja Laine says we should not take the home-like furnishings too seriously. In other words, the work of the ten women is playful and cheerful. However, they are also capable of creating luxuriant and voluminous products, as shown by Salla Tervonen’s designs. Visitors can admire a cushion and a lampshade bearing her signature in ‘The Eccentric’ section of the Trend Forum. Moreover, one of her fabric designs has also been chosen for ‘The Geologist. The clients of Studio Kelkka come from all around the world – especially Japan, India, the USA and Europa. Natural directness with a pinch of humour: very refreshing!

Studio Kelkka is in Hall 4.2, Booth Number E 92.
