When life can finally resume once again in the open air, we are always keen to furnish this additional living space nicely. Be it terrace, balcony or garden; trendy outdoor furniture with cushions and upholstery are just as much part of the experience as the barbecue and the green plants. Sonnhaus’ outdoor fabrics bring plenty of good humour and a breath of fresh air into the outside areas of the home.

The current collection offers strong colours and clever designs on technically sophisticated materials. The use of acrylic fibres, dyed with the help of spinning-nozzle technology, means that the fabrics are optimally prepared for their use in outdoor areas. They are light- and colour-fast, mould and dirt resistant, breathable and Oeko-Tex certified. Moreover, the special Teflon finish offers protection against chlorinated and salty water as well as against marks and dirt. That makes the cushions and upholstery in ‘Sunbrella’ fabric very hard-wearing and durable. Even moulds and pests can’t get a hold on these outdoor textiles. The current collection offers traditional dual-colour and multi-coloured stripes as well as informal block stripes. Completing the range are some floral designs, together with lots of plain-coloured fabrics and a mix of various weaves.

The tremendous durability of “Sunbrella” fabrics is down to the technical properties of the acrylic fibres, from which they are woven. The colour pigments are embedded in the fibres even before the actual production of the yarn and not added later. That way, the material is made resistant to the effects of the sun, the wind and all kinds of weather. And the upholstery remains radiant on the balcony, terrace or garden for a good deal longer than a single summer.
