Garance: textile design – très français!
With their designs, they extol the beauty of nature. The patterns are like a relaxing stroll through an enchanting garden and all are drawn or painted by hand. Most are realistic illustrations of flowers, in some cases with garden birds or parrots. There are also variations on the classic ‘toile de jouy’ motif. The work of Garance’s five textile designers is always oriented towards natural scenes. Accordingly, it is not uncommon for the studio to be graced by a large bouquet of flowers. Unsurprisingly, their regular customers include luxury textile manufacturers, such as Canovas and Nobilis Paris. The long-established studio was founded by textile designer Nicole Fayard and recently taken over by France Bœsch. At present, the two designers are working together on a ‘création textile’ with an unmistakably French hallmark – romantic, high-quality and, in this case, very exclusive.
Garance can be found in Hall 4.2 (Stand B 51).
