Heimtextil 2012: good forecasts for the markets
“The world of textile interior design is meeting at Heimtextil in Frankfurt/Germany”. With these words, Detlef Braun, CEO of Messe Frankfurt GmbH opened the press conference of Heimtextil 2012. 2634 exhibitors, 61 nations of Asia, Europe, the Americas and Africa are showing their products and ideas: 62 more than the year before. Also the quality of the show has been improved again. Well known retournees and newcomers are participating this year. The dynamics of the leading trade fair is indicating the trends for the entire business. Heimtextil 2012 is focussing on contract business, sustainability and coupon-business.With a study on the future trends, looking on upcoming developments in the markets, Heimtextil is offering substantial information for the industry and partners. The study is named “Markets of Identity” and it looks at new sceneries of living, working and designing the interior in the future. “Third-Place-Living” will play a decisively different role for the consumer after home and working spaces. Public spaces will become multi-functional rooms of the mobile society. Lobbies, lounges and common transport will get further functions. This trend of consumers’ individualization is opening up new “Markets of Identiy” for the whole branch.
