With “Contract Creations”, Heimtextil is presenting a broad range of textile products especially for contract furnishing, as well as a comprehensive programme of events tailored to the needs of architects, room planners, interior decorators and interior designers. In cooperation with the AIT architecture magazine and the German Hotel Association IHA, a series of presentations will be taking place at “Let’s talk about…”, a presentation area – now located in Galleria 1 – that serves as a central information forum for the entire trade fair. There will also be architectural tours and awards ceremonies. The “Contract Guide”, a directory of contract providers at the trade fair, serves as an additional source of orientation for the contract business.
Sustainably produced textiles and products for the interior will be a special point of focus at Heimtextil, with the topic of upcycling taking centre stage. The trade fair features some of the first concrete applications for this pioneering issue. The “Young Creations Award: Upcycling” marks the first time that Heimtextil is offering a prize honouring new talent that is focused on the principle of recycling. These creative projects, which were realised using waste materials, will be presented in Hall 4.2. Increasing demand for sustainable textiles is also evident in the “Green Directory”, a guide featuring 128 exhibitors offering sustainable home and household textiles – more companies than ever before.
In addition to the “Green Directory” and the “Contract Guide”, Heimtextil will also once again be providing a “Coupon Business Finder” in order to help visitors find their way around the exhibition grounds. This lists exhibiting companies that offer small and very small volumes of home and household textiles. All three directories are available free of charge at various locations on the exhibition grounds.
Heimtextil Trends: seismograph for the new season
The Heimtextil trend show is an outstanding industry event for visitors and exhibitors at Heimtextil. Located in Forum 0, it delivers a comprehensive look at pioneering design developments – conceived and implemented by Stijlinstituut Amsterdam. These Dutch designers use the exhibitors’ latest products to fashion an attractive presentation of the aesthetics, shapes, materials, designs and colours of the new season. The trend show will be accompanied by presentations from leading experts in the field. Heimtextil will also be featuring “Be inspired”, a special showcase in Hall 11.1 highlighting furnishing examples for specialist retailers that are based on the trend forecast.
