Suppliers of the latest aesthetic and functional solutions in contract textile furnishing will be showcasing their products for the second time in the Interior.Architecture.Hospitality Expo at Heimtextil. One of the exhibitors is Serge Ferrari, with a large range of fabrics for interior design. We talk to Isabelle Vidal, Vice President, Business Group Marine & Furniture, about the exciting new products from Serge Ferrari, the trend towards individualised design by customisation, and her expectations of Heimtextil.
Ms Vidal, which products is Serge Ferrari showcasing at the next Interior.Architecture.Hospitality Expo?
Serge Ferrari is showcasing Soltis Touch, its first woven material for indoor sun protection, which has a great design and a large range of functions, as well as innovative products in the upholstery segment. The Soltis Touch sun shading fabric is one of the top innovations in 2019, and it impresses because of a unique textile appearance, a range of 28 colours, and its sound absorption properties. Serge Ferrari is also presenting new products in the furniture segment, with new colours in the Batyline Eden range, new leather grains in the Stamskin range and a new Batyline range for cushions.
What developments do you see emerging strongly in interior textile design and the hotel sector at the moment?
We notice that there’s increasing demand in terms of design and colours, without sacrificing technical performance capability. We want to react to this trend by introducing new products, colours and refinements and give our product range new momentum. We’re offering new services for customer-specific designs, because the demand for customisation is growing. With ‘Penelope’ software, we provide a completely new design service that enables us to react quickly to customer requirements and specified design concepts, so that we can give textiles an individual touch, for example with printing.
What expectations will you bring to Heimtextil 2019?
The Interior.Architecture.Hospitality Expo is perfect for us: we’ll draw the attention of interior architects and designers to the diversity of our products and their application possibilities, inspire them with our innovations, and last, but not least, get valuable feedback on the market from prospective customers on our stand.
