Magnificent hand screen printing
Frohstoff tempts us with favourite motifs
Do you like rabbits, hedgehogs, deer and hens? Or do you prefer dragon flies, fishes and wild boar? Frohstoff has transferred a whole menagerie of these animal prints to cotton and linen fabrics using a hand screen-printing process. This leaves the substrate material wonderfully undisturbed and muted, so, to offset this, the colours are sometimes garish – even neon pink. Frohstoff is to be found mostly in the kitchen and around the table, with tea towels, aprons, napkins, table sets and runners. There are also some decorative bottle sleeves in the collection. For Heimtextil 2016, Frohstoff has created some new prints as well as some other new products. Their range has been extended for 2016 and now includes small shoulder bags for lovers of dog motifs and pouches for cosmetics and small personal items, as well as larger carrier bags. If anyone would like to try out the screen printing process for themselves, then you can take part in one of the workshops that Frohstoff runs in Hamburg.
You can find Frohstoff in Hall 11.0, Stand A 18.
