For some years now, the dutch trend researcher and textile designers Oltmans van Niekerk from Delft have been developing a trend forecast book, which interprets the changes in society and shows how these will influence the preferences and values of people. The book is called 20/20 Vision 2013 > and it is published annually in March. It contains 238 pages of consumer insight, strategic concepts and key future colours. They give an insight in the thinking, feeling and acting – the purchase decisions – of consumers. “Today the world is not linear. We will have to learn how to think like a river, the concept of adaptabiliy. A river is not accidental but has a sense of purpose; flowing, moving and creating a path towards a positive future”, says Els van Niekerk about the basis of the future vision book. Well known internationally operating companies do use the results of the dutch trend researchers: H&M, Volvo, Nokia, Unilever, Electrolux, Mexx Internatioinal and many more. Oltmans van Niekerk have a booth at Heimtextil: Halle 4.2. / both H 38. Here, trade visitors can get more information about the vision book and get to know the textile designs of the studio OvN.
