“Putting something together from various components, mixing new and existing elements and using them to create something in their own right, that’s the idea of ‘Montage’” Claudia Herke, from the bora.herke.palmisano style studio, explains. This thought, engendered by the awareness of fundamental changes in our society, is an expression of the desire to give things shape and form: a desire that is reflected in the four ‘Montage’ themes: Color Riot, Dark Lux, Craft Industry and Split Clarity.
Color Riot stands for a new feeling for life. Here, the clear, high-quality fabrics highlight the brightness and intensity of the colours. Dark Lux celebrates the yearning for beauty. Shimmering materials meet up with an array of colours that is dark, mystical and elegant. Craft Industry is where handmade meets up with mechanical and digital reality. The colours are, on the one hand, warm and vibrant; on the other hand, industrial and metallic. “Less is more” is the message communicated by Split Clarity. Here, this array of colours, inspired by nature, meets up with new materials.
